Classification of heat exchangers by use
1. the heater is to heat the fluid to the necessary temperature, but there is no phase change in the heating fluid.
2. the preheater heats the fluid in advance to provide standard process parameters for the process operation.
3. the superheater is used to heat the fluid (process gas or steam) to a superheated state.
4. the evaporator is used to heat the fluid, to reach a temperature above the boiling point, so that the fluid evaporates, generally there is a phase change.
Application

In petroleum, chemical, light industry, pharmaceutical, energy and other industrial production, heat exchangers are often used to heat low-temperature fluids or cool high-temperature fluids, vaporize liquids into steam or condense vapors into liquids. Heat exchanger is a unit of equipment, such as heaters, coolers and condensers; It is also an integral part of a process equipment, such as a heat interchanger in a central air conditioner.
